Well it finally happened on June 1st 2002, GB3BK moved form it's "Mine Shaft" location at Aldermaston to the old Woodley police station near Reading.

From it's new location BK provides excellent coverage in Reading town centre and the surrounding areas, full details can be found here

Delivered to the new site the Key Radio KF450 TX and RX are prepared ready for installation into the cabinet that Chris (G4CCC) can be seen humping into the equipment building. The cabinet also houses the Procomm duplexer allowing the repeater to operate on a single antenna.

To the right are two pictures of the Key TX and RX installed in the cabinet sitting next to some commercial PMR equipment. The duplexer is installed in the rear of the cabinet together with the power supply.

Baz G8DOR seen switching on BK following the successful move of the equipment. Below Baz makes the first call through BK and checks all is in order.

In the background Ian (G8NXJ's) handiwork can be seen in the the form of brickwork ! The old window was bricked up one cold November day last year but unfortunately the budget did not extend to a pot of paint.
